Bake Sale/Face Painting

Another blessing this week was our success at the bake sale and face painting event we had at the home basketball game against Fontbonne University. We had some great requests at our face painting table that included a cat in an apple tree, a boat and other holiday favorites such as snowflakes, snowmen, Christmas trees, and presents. Our bake sale was a great hit after many enjoyed our treats and a generous donator purchased the remaining baked goods at the end of the night. Our whole team was blessed by the many that contributed to the event including the people that donated the baked goods and the hungry fans that attended the game.

A Taste of the Dominican

We were very blessed to have two great events preparing us for the Dominican this week. The first event was an authentic Dominican meal hosted by Ivan and Lourdes Estevez. After our meal, we had the opportunity to learn a couple of latin dance moves including Salsa, Merengue, and Bachata. Learning latin dancing was so fun and we had a great time eating AMAZING food (arroz con pollo y ensalada) with new friends.

Babysitting Day!

Our babysitting fundraiser was full of fun and games. At one point, almost every babysitter had a child under the age of 2 to take care of :) We had about 16 kids come to our fundraiser. Each one found fun at every station. There was a reading center, art station, movie area, sports area and even a Wii! At the end of the night, we wrapped up the babysitting day with a friendly game of badminton. The day was full of laughs and smiles as the team grew closer.
